Manager of Tax & Assurance: Inga Bozsik, CPA, CGMA, MSA, MBA

Inga earned both her Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting degrees at the University of Southern Maine. She started her career with Macpage, LLC in 2007 where she gained a wide variety of audit and tax experience before joining McLeod|Ascanio in January of 2015. Inga is currently working on a variety of assurance and tax engagements.

Inga is licensed to practice accountancy in the State of Maine and holds the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She is a member of the AICPA and the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Senior Associate: Matthew Apgar, CPA

Matt earned both his B.A. in Business Management and B.A. in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine. He started his career with The Swanson Group, LLC in 2016 where he gained tax, as well as audit experience. He joined McLeod|Ascanio in June of 2018. He is licensed to practice accountancy in the State of Maine and is a member of the AICPA.
Matt lives in South Portland and enjoys golf, reading, and exploring Maine’s back roads on his motorcycle.

Associate: Jay Grant

Jay received a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine. He started his career with McLeod|Ascanio in January of 2015 and is currently working on a variety of tax and assurance engagements.

Staff Accountant: William Sulzberger

William received a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine.  He started his career with McLeod|Ascanio in June of 2018 and is currently working in small business services, which includes entity creation, payroll, and bookkeeping services.

Lisa Libby

Lisa’s journey with McLeod | Ascanio reflects her dedication and professional growth over the past 25 years. Beginning her career as the Office Manager in 1998, her hard work and eagerness to learn led to a seamless transition into the roles of Corporate Bookkeeper and Staff Accountant capable of preparing a variety of tax returns. In addition to these roles, Lisa is also a commissioned Maine Notary Public.

Originally from Massachusetts, she now embraces the coastal charm of southern Maine. When not at work, you can find her spending time with her husband & daughter, enjoying the beach year-round and finding sand dollars to add to her impressive collection!

Edwin F. Grant

Edwin received a B.S. in Accounting & Financial Economics from the University of Redlands in 2018. He started his career in California working as a forensic accountant and auditor in the entertainment industry. After relocating back to his home state, Maine, he began working with McLeod|Ascanio in August of 2022. Edwin is a prospective CPA candidate and is currently working on a variety of tax and assurance engagements.

Stephen Sawyer

Stephen earned a B.S. in Business Management and Accounting from the University of Southern Maine. As a Marine Corps veteran, he began his career at McLeod/Ascanio in January 2021. He also serves as President and Treasurer of the Noyes Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. His experience includes working with a variety of tax clients, from individuals to corporations, in addition to performing assurance engagements, such as reviews and audits.

Galina Dorais

Galina started her career with McLeod|Ascanio in October of 2022. She hails from Moscow where she attained her Masters in Economics from the International Academy of Science and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the American Institute of Business and Economics. She holds two certificates from the University of Southern Maine: Certificate of Accounting and Certificate of Finance, both with honors. Galina enjoys the opera, ballet, and travel in her free time. She primarily works on tax preparation and financial compilation and consulting.

Assa Niyongabo

Assa received a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine in May 2021. He started his career at McLeod|Ascanio in January of 2020. He is currently working on a variety of tax and assurance engagements.

Office Manager: Jamie-Marie Ascanio

Jamie is born and raised in Maine and earned her B.S. in Business Management from The University of Maine Orono in 2017. She started her career in the insurance field and joined McLeod|Ascanio in January of 2021. Jamie provides a variety of support for tax and assurance engagements.

Shehzad U. Ansari

Shehzi is born and raised in Houston, Texas to Pakistani parents. He briefly lived in Pakistan before returning to Austin to earn a bachelors in accounting and a masters in taxation from the University of Texas. He started his career in New York with PWC before transitioning to industry roles with a focus on operations. He met a girl from Maine and the rest is history. He began working with McLeod|Ascanio in June of 2023. Shehzi holds an active CPA license and is currently working on a variety of tax engagements.
